Globalization Partners International (GPI), a provider of comprehensive document, software and website translation services announced today that it has completed website development, localization and global SEO for Surg+Restore, a 501(c)3 status charitable organization that operates a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Burn Unit in Makeni, Sierra Leone. The new website was developed using web content management system (CMS) WordPress and Responsive Website Design (RWD) in order to provide an optimal viewing experience with easy reading and navigation across a wide range of devices including desktops, iPads and smartphones.
“As 100% of our funds are directed to forming, financing, training and educating native Sierra Leonean medical personnel to maintain a sustainable Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Burn Unit in Makeni, we needed a lower cost, easy to deploy and maintain, blog-centric website for our non-profit organization,” says Robert Scott Brown MD MPH, President of Surg+Restore. “We decided to use WordPress as our web CMS and design the multilingual website utilizing Responsive Web Design practices in order to allow our current and future donors to keep up with the charity in French, Arabic and English, and on any device whether PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone.”
